Sister Pat received her B.A. in education. She founded SJMCC in 1973 and has been leading the school and teaching in it ever since!
Noelle H. Smith
Ms. Noelle Hutchins Smith is the second lead teacher at SJMCC. Noelle has Montessori connections (ask about her sisters and aunt). She comes to us from St. James in Elizabethtown, KY. Most recently Noelle has been teaching first grade. She knows what skills SJMCC graduates need as they begin their education beyond the SJMCC campus. Noelle loves teaching Language, collects children’s books, and is intrigued by Montessori methodology.
Theresa L. Robinson
Assistant Montessori Teacher Scala Poplar
Theresa Robinson has been with St. Joseph Montessori since 2008. Prior to that she was with Nazareth Montessori since 1997. She earned her American Montessori Society teacher certification for children 3-6 years. She also has her State of Kentucky Director’s Credentials, Commonwealth Childcare Credential as well as an Associate in Applied Arts.
Assistant Montessori Teacher
2016-2017 is Ms. Barbara’s 10th year teaching at SJMCC. She finished her AMS Certification with Montessori Opportunities in the 2013-2014 school year.
Ms. Mary received her CDA from ECTC and taught in Head Start for over a decade. The 2016-2017 school year is Ms. Mary’s 5th year at SJMCC.
Karen is the SJMCC Music Instructor and the Director of the After School Program (ASC).
She has lived in Tennesse, Indiana, California, New York, as well as Kentucky. She graduated with a BA in Christian Education from Bryan College in Dayton TN. She has home-schooled her six children, helped run a Christian bookstore, taught drama to a home school theatre group and organized and taught in weekly and summer Bible Clubs.
Delaney is the After School Care (ASC) Assistant Teacher. She was born and raised in the Bardstown area. She attended Boston Elementary School until 3rd grade and then was homeschooled. In 2014, she graduated and has since been working as an entrepreneur of a needlework business, selling handcrafted items, and researching and beginning to write a novel.
Megan is the SJMCC Photographer and Web Master. She attended Montessori during her preschool and kindergarten years, then proceeded to attend Bluegrass Christian Academy through 3rd grade. Since 4th grade, Megan has been homeschooled and will be going into her Senior year of High School this (2016-2017) school year.
